
Tennessee Durable (Financial) Power of Attorney Form
A durable power of attorney form in Tennessee enables an individual ("agent") to take charge of financial decisions and matters on behalf of another person ("principal") while they are alive. The term "durable" signifies that this authority continues to be effective even if the principal becomes incapacitated.
Signing Requirements
No laws; however, it is recommended to be signed in the presence of two witnesses or a notary public.
Statutory Form
The Tennessee state legislature has not created a statutory power of attorney form but has included a detailed explanation of the various powers of an attorney-in-fact in § 34-6-109.
