Massachusetts Power of Attorney (POA) Forms
In Massachusetts, power of attorney forms enable an individual, known as the "principal," to appoint another individual, referred to as the "agent," to make decisions on their behalf. The principal can assign various responsibilities to the agent, which may include medical, financial, parental, tax-related, vehicle, or any other type of authority. If the power of attorney is designated as durable, the agent's authority persists even if the principal becomes unable to make decisions for themselves.
