During the restriction period, death records may be accessed by the decedent’s spouse, parent, child, grandchild, sibling, or legal representative. Death records are available from 1877 to present.Records from the Office of Vital Statistics can be ordered online, by mail, or by phone. Each county also has its own Department of Health where vital records can be ordered.
