The Ohio Department of Health, Vital Statistics Office manages birth and death records, as well as abstracts of marriage and divorce records.Death records are available from January 1, 1954 to present. Record requests can be made in person, by mail, or online. Each county also has a local health department where records are managed for births and deaths that occurred in that county.
