In Florida, death records are the responsibility of the Florida Department of Health. Death records can be obtained either with the Clerk of Court in the county where the death occurred or through the Office of Vital Records. Records before June 6, 1927 can only be obtained from the County Clerk of Court. Records from the Office of Vital Statistics can be ordered online, by mail, or by phone.
