Certified copies of vital records are available only to the registrant, spouse, sibling, direct ancestor, direct descendant, stepparent, stepchild, persons needing information for a legal determination of personal or property rights, or an authorized agent, attorney, or legal representative of any of the above listed people. Uncertified copies are available to the general public.Divorce records are also available from the District Court in the county where the divorce occurred.
