Deeds, mortgage documents, easements, liens, powers of attorney, and other document recordings are managed by the County Clerk in each Montana county.A few counties provide online access to recorded documents. However, access to online records may require registration or paid subscription, depending on the county. For counties that are not online, access to recorded documents can be obtained by visiting the County Clerk’s office in person, or through phone and mail requests.
