Illinois voter records are managed by the County Clerk in each county. County Clerks offer voter registration, elections calanders, and polling place locaters. Many County Clerks provide these services online, as well as online searchable registration records. Depending on the county, searches for registration records can be performed by name, social security number, and address. Where online information is not available, voter records can be obtained by contacting the County Clerk in person, by mail, by phone, or, in some cases, by email. The Illinois State Board of Elections is responsible for campaign finance records. An online searchable database is available, whereby searches can be performed by name, candidate, committee, expenditure type, expenditure amount, and date of contribution or expenditure.
