Power of Attorney forms in New York empower individuals to designate someone else to manage their financial or medical responsibilities. Depending on the chosen form, the individual granting the authority, known as the "principal," can specify whether the authority is effective for a limited duration or continues indefinitely throughout their lifetime, a designation known as "durable."
