Oregon Assessor & Property Tax Records Search
Each of Oregon's 36 counties contains an Assessor office which maintains real and personal property tax records. Land and land improvements are considered real property while mobile property is classified as personal property. The purpose of the Assessor's office is to ensure that all property within their county is valued fairly. Many counties maintain an online searchable database to find property information. Searches can typically be performed by map number or tax lot, property address, or owner name. Some Assessor sites also allow for search by property sale information such as sale/purchase date, price, and property type. Many Assessor websites also offer online payment of property taxes. Oregon's Department of Revenue oversees the affairs of all Assessor's Offices in Oregon.
