Each county in Washington has an Assessor's office that maintains real and personal property tax records. These real property tax recordstypically show parcel number, taxpayer name, address, and assessed value. Additionally, recent sales information is also usually available; this information contains buyer and seller names and sales value figures. Many counties have these records searchable online by address or by parcel number. Searching by name usually requires contacting the assessor's office by phone. If a county is not online, then all information must be obtained over the phone, in person, or via written request.Personal property is distinguished from real property in that it is mobile. Land and improvements are considered real property with most all other property classified as personal property.
