Oregon Birth Records Search
Requests can be made to the Oregon Vital Records Office for certified copies of vital records either by mail, internet, fax, or telephone. Although there is a statewide Oregon Vital Records Office, each county also has its own Vital Records Office which handles birth records. The Vital Records offices issue birth certificates, and maintain these records. Depending on the county, Vital Records Offices are either with the county clerk's office or the county health department. The Oregon Center for Health Statistics can issue certified copies of birth certificates. The office has birth records dating from July, 1903.Access to birth records is restricted for 100 years to the registrant, immediate family members, legal representatives, and individuals with special licenses.
